Aaliyah Legacy, Unexpected Mishaps and Pain Pills

August 26, 2019

No matter how your weekend went, its important to start every week with positive energy.

While I had plans to go to TLC/Nelly/Flo-Rida on Thursday night - I wound up in the emergency room instead...

After some great treatment by the nicest doctors I've ever met, they sent me on my way late that evening.  I may have had them before - but I honestly can't recall.  Taking pain meds (not Advil, but the perscription stuff).  I'm not a big fan.

Since I missed the TLC/Nelly show, I'm hoping I get to go see Common tomorrow night at ACL Live Moody Theater!!

This past weekend also marked the 18 year mark of the passing of Aaliyah Haughton.  She was undoubtedly my favorite female artist at the time of her tragedy.  I remember working for Blockbuster Headquarters (Downtown Dallas), and was down in my feeling for at least a week.  Her self titled 3rd album (with the red cover) had dropped recently, and was in heavy rotation.

The argument can be made - who would be bigger today?  Aaliyah, Beyonce or Rihanna. I personally think there would be room in the game enough for all 3 - especially since they were all so completely different in personal demeanor and style.

Well, the rollercoaster nauseau feeling of these pain pills I'm on is flowing back, so gonna end the blog for now.  Hoping for a Tuesday entry - and as always - thank you for taking the time to read this nonsense!! :) <3
